Confidence & Coils was born from the shared vision of two women committed to uplifting the next generation. Amerah, a former high school science teacher of 10 years, saw firsthand how mentorship, sisterhood, and healthy habits shaped confidence in young women. Her journey began in college through her sorority, where the support of accomplished women revealed the lifelong impact of community and guidance.
Paris, a licensed cosmetologist for over 12 years, found her passion for hair care as a teenager styling herself and her siblings. Over the years, she met countless clients who shared stories of struggling with their hair journeys as young girls. These experiences fueled her desire to empower the next generation with knowledge, tools, and pride in their natural beauty.
Together, Amerah and Paris combined their strengths—mentorship, leadership, and hair care expertise—to create Confidence & Coils. More than a program, it’s a cultural movement where young women learn to embrace their natural hair, unlock inner strength, and grow in confidence surrounded by sisterhood.
Confidence & Coils is a one-of-a-kind summer experience for girls ages 11–17. Centered around natural hair, identity, and self-worth, this program combines fun, education, and sisterhood to help each participant build lasting confidence from the inside out.
